Introduce
Butterfly valves are quarter turn valves ideal for on/off or modulating flow operations.
This valve is rated for 16 bar and is operated by hand, but can be used with an actuator (ISO 5211 F05).
The nominal diameter is 50 mm (2 inch) and has a wafer type flange. The Cast iron (GG25) housing,
stainless steel disc and NBR seal make it durable and allows for a media temperature between 5°C and 85°C.

Short body flanged butterfly valves are the new “state of the art” butterfly valves available on the market, with
a very compact design and various materials of constructions, they can be applied in several plants. Compatible
with BS, DIN and ANSI flanges, the short body flanged butterfly valves have the rubber liner vulcanized on the
body of the valve, allowing strong and reliable tightness, as well as the O ring cast on the body, that prevents any
need of gaskets. Short body flanged butterfly valves are manufactured as centric type disc, they can stand both
directions of fluid and are maintenance-free. The body, not in contact with the fluid, can be lined with EPDM, BUNA,
PTFE, Neoprene or Viton: in this way we can apply these butterfly valves to any plant and for every medium, simply
mounting the suitable disc in ductile iron, stainless steel 304 or 316, Al-Bronze C95400. Such valves can be installed
in any position. Short body flanged butterfly valves come reducing gear and handwheel (standard execution), pneumatic
operator with single or double effect, electric actuator on request.
A Butterfly valve is a quarter-turn rotary motion valve, that is used to stop, regulate, and start the flow. Butterfly valves are
a quick open type. A 90° rotation of the handle can completely close or open the valve. Normally, they are used in systems

Large Butterfly valves are usually equipped with gearbox type actuator, where the handwheel is connected to the stem
via a gearbox. This will reduce the force but at the same time reduce the speed of the operation. This type of valve should
be installed in the open position. If the valve is closed during installation, the rubber seat will wedge against the valve disc
and make it difficult to open.

Water Type
The wafer body is placed between pipe flanges, and the flange bolts surround the valve body. A wafer type butterfly valve
is easy to installed but it cannot be used as an isolation valve.
